This publication examines diverse models and mechanisms of youth engagement across Europe, with the goal of raising awareness about the importance of involving young people in decision-making processes at the EU, regional, and local levels, while highlighting the need for meaningful participation.
This publication consists of at least 15 good practices and case studies referring to existing models and mechanisms of youth engagement in Europe, from consultation mechanisms to shared decision-making processes between young people and policymakers, ensuring the inclusion of local, regional, national and international examples.
This publication provides at least eight different guidelines (step-by-step plans) for various mechanisms of youth engagement, which guide practitioners, policymakers and other stakeholders in the elaboration and establishment of such models of youth engagement. These models are developed through a transparent, inclusive and participatory process, in line with good practices and recommendations in the field of youth.
The aim of these qualitative guidelines is to support the design and implementation of mechanisms that engage young people.
